　10　一つの川がこの園を潤すため、エデンから出ており、

　　　そこから分れて、四つの源となっていた。　

　11　第一のものの名はピション。それはハビラの全土を

　　　巡って流れる。そこには金があった。

　12　その地の金は良質で、

　　　またそこはベドラハとしまめのうもあった。

　13　第二の川の名はギホン。それはクシュの全土を巡って流れる。

　14　第三の川の名はティグリス。それはアシュルの東を流れる。

　　　第四の川、それはユフラテスである。

　10 And a river went out of É'den to water the garden; and 

   from thence it was parted, and became four heads.

  11 The name of the first is Piśŏn: that is it which 

     compasseth the whole land of Hăvi-läh, where there is gold;

  12 and the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and 

     the onyx stone.

  13 And the name of the second river is Gi'hon: the same is it 

     that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia/Cush.

  14 And the name of the third river is Hid'dē-kěl: that is it 

     which goeth in front of Assyria. And the fourth river is 

     the Eū-phrā'tes.

     it divided and became four rivers.

     flows around the whole land of Havi'lah, where there is 

     gold;

     flows around the whole land of Cush.

  14  And the name of the third river is Tigris, which flows 

      east  of Assyria.

      And the fourth river is  Euphra'tes.
